Neil Chatham returns
Neil Chatham rode his bike yesterday for the first time since breaking his wrist, unfortunately he does not feel that it will have healed enough for him to perform at the level expected for the European Championship in Portugal. Neil is extremely disappointed as this was the event he was looking forward to the most and feels that this would have provided him with the best opportunity to show his true talent. He would like to thank John Collins, the ACU committee and Mary Kerr for their support. Neil has had experiences in the UEM team that will stay with him for the rest of his life and hopefully the development with his riding will help him to continue his career next year. The Husqvarna ride also led to a position within Mick Seward's MPS Racing team which has fulfilled a lifetime ambition for which he is extremely grateful. The wrist injury is continually being monitored although at this time he cannot commit to when he will be able to compete, the Natterjack is in his sights and he has a training programme to be back as soon as possible.
Thank you to all the sponsors who have supported him this year.
