Team Green dealer and enduro stalwart tackle Erzburg

Showing that he walks the walk in addition to talking the talk, Kawasaki Team Green dealer, Grant Hacking has set his sights on a finish at one of the world’s toughest off-road events.

Tackling and completing the legendary Erzburg enduro event in Austria has been a long term ambition for ex British Championship MX rider Hacking. This year the 32 year old Bolton Kawasaki dealer has unveiled an audacious two man attack on the gruelling race which annually attracts 1500 riders, of which only 500 eventually qualify to race.

Riding alongside Hacking, and running under the Hacking Racing banner with a 2010 KX250F four stroke machine, will also be British trials and enduro crowd favourite Andy Cripps who posted a highly creditable 13 place finish at the 2009 Erzburg event.

“It’s a major achievement to even get into the final 500 to be honest”, admitted Hacking. “To get a finishing position we have to be within four hours of the lead rider which should be a piece of cake for Crippsy but, for me, it will be a huge ask”.

Running in full 2010 Team Green riding gear and Hacking Racing livery, the pairing have high hopes for success. Former two-stroke specialist Crippsy is looking forward to equalling or even bettering his previous performance on the race proven Kawasaki four-stroke.

“I’d heard the four stroke 250F was good right out of the crate”, said Crippsy as he collected his race bike from the Hacking’s store recently. “On just the few blasts I have had so far, the KX250F feels just perfect. Me and Grant will try our best to entertain the crowds in Austria while pushing hard to achieve a double finish”.
