Sherco Dakar success

The 2012 edition of the Dakar is now history and the balance sheet for Sherco is very positive.

CrocoAdventures organized and provided support for the team. They hired Frans Verhoeven as the elite rider for the team; he was joined by three amateur riders. Frans had some really great rides, earning second and third place podium finishes on rounds 3 and 4, he ended up finishing 15th overall on his CrocoAventures prepared Sherco. Sylvain Espinasse finished this very hard race.

Crocoaventures is a very young team, it consists only of volunteers, and they raced against teams that have more than 30 years of experience in a very difficult edition of the Dakar.

The team overcame all of the many difficulties by adapting and preparing the bikes for the unique style of each rider.

They were able to do this for Frans which allowed him to demonstrate that he and his Sherco are able to go as fast as the race leaders.

The team accumulated much experience in this rally and identified areas that they need to work on for the future. Their goal is to put one of their riders on the podium in a future race.
