Torres Vedras is ready to make you taste the EWC!!

Last week, a part of the ABC Communication staff has benefit of its travel to Portugal for the FIM Gala Ceremony to visit the new host city of the 2012 Grand Prix of Portugal.

Accompanied by Jean Guillaume MEILLER (CEN president), Pedro MARIANO (FIM Race Director) and Gio SALA (FIM Track Inspector), Alain and Bastien BLANCHARD have discovered the charming city of Torres Vedras as the Moto Club Torres Vedras infrastructures. They were able to realize that the Moto Club and its president M. Licinio ANICETO were very enthusiastic about the idea of organizing the 4th round of the MAXXIS FIM Enduro World Championship.

Torres Vedras, that will welcome this Grand Prix of Portugal the 12es and 13th of May 2012, is a wine town that is in the district of Lisbon, to 69kms only from the Portuguese capital and 177kms from Coimbra. Surrounded by vineyards, Torres Vedras is famous for its varieties quality. The track will be situated next to the town with a Cross Test and an Enduro Test on the same place and located a short distance from downtown while the Xtreme Test should be 100% natural and also accessible. The paddock is very wide, well-appointed and will be situated in the periphery of the city center and on the Regional Park Exhibition.

The Moto Club Torres Vedras will use this sport event to attract a lot of motorsport aficionados in a Portugal region that never welcomed motorized manifestation like this one and will try to create a great popular celebration.
