Munitibar Arbacegi welcomes the Grand Prix

Euskadi and Munitibar Arbacegi will welcome the Grand Prix AMV of Spain.

After many uncertainties, the Grand Prix AMV of Spain has been confirmed for a few hours by the RFME (Royal Federacion Motociclista Espanola). Indeed, the economic recession strikes Spain and the local and territorial communities have significantly reduced their aid to the cultural or sports event organizers. That’s why the RFME didn’t have any candidate organizer to organize the 2012 EWC Spanish round, planed as usual in “matching” with the Grand Prix of Portugal.

Convinced of the imperative to have a Grand Prix of Spain, Alain BLANCHARD supported by the FIM and Jean Guillaume MEILLER the president of the CER, to break the deadlock through mainly to the passion and tireless dedication of the Gernika Off Road already organizers of the 2005 and 2007 Grand Prix AMV of Spain. Under the leadership of Roman MAISTRETUA President and of Juanjo BILBAO secretary, the dynamic Basque enduro riders have accepted the challenge for an event which will be based in the small village of Munitibar Arbacegi and will use in some parts the track of the old Grand Prix!

A new challenge for the Gernika Off Road proud and motivated of such a challenge!
